The Gipsy

The Gipsy

18 in / 46 cm

The Gipsy is coming to dance at the outdoor market. She belongs to the music and is totally engrossed in her dancing. Her eyes turned to the ground, she isn’t trying to seduce. She is focused on the beat of her tambourine. The sound of the bells on her costume isolates her; she is in her own world.

Treatment
Bronze (18in/46cm) with black and wine-red patina for the clothing and blue for the tambourine. The skin is textured with ferric nitrate and the sections in relief are mirror polished. The hair is bluish.
