The Blue Hour

The Blue Hour

16 in / 40,5 cm

Book in hand, a young woman is dreamily looking off into the distance.

As dusk approaches near the end of the afternoon, time seems to almost stand still; even the birds appear to fly in slow motion. Here in Quebec, everything seems to take on a shade of blue at that time of day in winter.

Treatment
Bronze on a sliced geode (16in/40.5cm), with a granite base. The figure’s skin has a golden patina, and his hair is bluish. The book cover is burgundy, and the pages are white.

Unique piece.
